Scotland and Canada Must Lead
Commonwealth infrastructure: Scotland and Canada must lead
Scotland and Canada can spearhead a revitalised Commonwealth, leveraging their strengths to shape a future rooted in trade, energy, and innovation
The Commonwealth stands at a precipice
If the Commonwealth is to mean something in the 21st century, it needs more than ceremonial summits and royal tours. It needs infrastructure. It demands the literal and figurative architecture of modern global trade, energy security, and digital resilience.
Scotland and Canada must stop waiting for permission and start leading the transformation. With their complementary strengths in renewable energy, technology, and natural resources, our nations are uniquely positioned to drive change. The time for diplomacy-as-theatre is over, and the moment for concrete action has arrived.
