The Fascist State of America

This isn’t a manifesto. It’s a plan. Manifestos are written to inspire; plans are written to act. Inspiration without action is useless in the face of what we’re witnessing. The United States is crossing a threshold that has long loomed in its history, moving from a fractured democracy into a fully realized authoritarian state. And the world, especially Canada, cannot afford to look away.
In Washington, the Proud Boys march openly, their uniforms pressed and their banners flying as if history hadn’t already condemned their white cloaked predecessors. Released J6 insurrectionists—freed by political pressure and a judiciary too compromised to act—are hailed as patriots, their crimes reframed as acts of courage. Meanwhile, Elon Musk stands at the podium, delivering his "vision" for the future with a raised hand and a smirk that echoes another time, another place.
Let’s not mince words: this is the transformation of a flawed but functioning democracy into something far darker. It doesn’t wear swastikas or jackboots; it doesn’t need to. Fascism has evolved. It wears corporate logos, brandishes social media algorithms, and markets its ideology under the guise of freedom and innovation. It thrives on chaos, polarization, and the slow erosion of public trust.
But the U.S. doesn’t exist in isolation. Its influence, cultural and economic, is a tidal force—and for Canada, the proximity to that force is a threat we can no longer ignore.
Yesterday was the earth shaking.
Now we’re waiting for the tsunami.
What Fascism Looks Like in 2025
The Fascist State of America doesn’t emerge overnight. It’s the result of decades of groundwork:
- Corporate Rule: The United States has long been a corporatocracy, but now the corporate elite are no longer behind the scenes—they are on the dais. Tech oligarchs like Musk and Thiel are no longer content to influence power; they are the power.
- Militarized Nationalism: From Charlottesville to the Capitol, the glorification of violence and the normalization of paramilitary groups have laid the groundwork for a new kind of political order—one where dissent is not debated but crushed.
- Erosion of Democratic Norms: Gerrymandering, voter suppression, judicial partisanship—these are no longer signs of dysfunction; they are deliberate strategies.
This is fascism rebranded for the digital age, polished with the aesthetics of Silicon Valley and weaponized by a constant stream of crises—climate collapse, pandemics, and economic instability. Naomi Klein warned us in The Shock Doctrine how disasters are used to entrench power. We are now seeing the full realization of that playbook.
Canada in the Crosshairs
As the United States accelerates its authoritarian turn, Canada faces existential risks. We are a neighbour, an economic partner, and a cultural echo chamber for American ideas. The ties that bind us also leave us vulnerable.
- Economic Dependency: Over 75% of Canada’s exports go to the United States. A destabilized U.S. means a destabilized Canada.
- Cultural Contamination: The American culture wars are already seeping across the border, infecting Canadian discourse with disinformation and division.
- Geopolitical Vulnerability: As the U.S. flexes its military and economic muscle, Canada risks being dragged into conflicts and policies that compromise its sovereignty.
But the greatest risk isn’t just external—it’s internal. Canada’s proximity to the U.S. has always made it susceptible to imitation. Authoritarianism, emboldened and unchecked… has a way of spreading.
The Plan for Survival
Canada cannot wait for the U.S. to fix itself. We need to act decisively, building resilience into every facet of our nation. Now. Here’s where we start:
Economic Independence:
Diversify trade relationships, reducing reliance on U.S. markets. Strengthen ties with Europe, Asia, and emerging African economies.
Invest in Canadian industries like green technology, critical minerals, and sustainable agriculture to rebuild self-reliance.
Cultural Resilience:
Launch national media literacy programs to combat the spread of disinformation.
Protect Canadian culture by investing in local journalism and regulating foreign media influence.
Sovereign Digital Infrastructure:
Develop Canadian-owned and operated platforms to reduce dependence on U.S.-based tech giants.
Enact stronger data privacy laws to protect citizens from surveillance capitalism.
Strengthening Democratic Institutions:
Reform electoral systems to ensure proportional representation and reduce polarization.
Strengthen laws protecting the press, protest, and dissent.
Building Global Alliances:
Lead on issues like climate change and human rights to establish Canada as a counterweight to U.S. authoritarianism.
Deepen partnerships with democratic nations to promote global stability.
What We Must Do Right Now
The time for polite diplomacy and incremental reform is over. Action is required at every level—government, business, and community.
- For Government: Implement policies that prioritize sovereignty and resilience.
- For Businesses: Invest in local supply chains, sustainable practices, and Canadian innovation.
- For Citizens: Demand accountability from leaders, engage in community organizing, and refuse complacency.
We cannot afford to wait. This isn’t just about preserving Canadian democracy—it’s about proving that democracy itself can withstand the authoritarian tide.
I stand for the work of Tommy Douglas then, Charlie Angus now, and the thousands of others that want to exist at ease… for the good this country, and its people, can do in the world.
Be the grown up.
Be the caring parent.
Be the good neighbour.
Choose your side.
If it’s not Canada, fuck off.
The Cost of Inaction
If we fail to act, the consequences will be catastrophic. Canada will not only lose its sovereignty, but its identity. We will become a satellite state to a fascist superpower, complicit in its crimes and vulnerable to its instability.
This is not a hypothetical scenario. The signs are here, the risks are real, and the time to act is now.
Plans are not written to inspire. They are written to build. And this plan is a blueprint for survival, resilience, and hope. But only if we act. Right. Now.

That inauguration was the genuinely and truly one of the most terrifying things I have seen in my lifetime. The only thing that matters is the money. Want help to target and take their cash flow? Tell me what you’re working on, I’ll help.

This isn’t the rise of authoritarianism—it’s already here. Proud Boys in the streets. J6 rioters glorified. Corporate power now indistinguishable from state power. God saving a king, so he can save you.
Canada can’t afford to wait. Trade. Media. Democracy. Protect them NOW.
